I'm not sure exactly how you're calculating the chain diameter. Do you have 10mm, 12mm, 13mm or 14mm chain? Generally we suggest 2-1/2" Chafe Sleeve for chains 10-12mm and the larger 3-1/2" Chafe Sleeve for chains 13-14mm. We do have some customers that like a tight fit, and they use the 2-1/2" chafe sleeve on the 13mm chain, but the fit is pretty tight and installation is a bit of work. Overall I would not expect the sleeve to stretch a ton--it might stretch a little, but not a lot.
