Case hardened verse through hardened what's actually better? I understand the difference and I would have figured that through hardened would have taken much longer to cut through with the grinder but after watching your videos on the Pewag case hardened chain and this Peerless through hardened chain seems like it didn't offer much more resistance to the grinder even though it's hardened all the way through. So which one do you think would be better for security?

Frankly, we don't have hard data one way or the other. The thru-hardened chain is not quite has hard, because it would simply be too brittle if it was. The case-hardened chain does have the higher HRC rating, but only on the surface (roughly 7-10% deep, depending the brand, size, etc.). The case-hardened far outsells the thru-hardened product for us, but we believe both perform well, and it's somewhat a matter of preference.
