The hook used on this winch line has a 1.5T Working Load Limit with a 5:1 Safety Factor, which means the Breaking Strength of this hook is approximately 15,000 lbs.
Why would someone buy a 10,000 + lb winch rope with a hook that is only rated at 3,000 lbs? That does not sound very safe. I am looking for a winch rope. 5/16" x 50 ft Wire Rope Winch Line - 10540 lbs Breaking Strength
