This chain, at its widest point, measures 1.67"--this dimension will be subject to some minor variation due to the manufacturing process. At 1-7/16" on the trailer rim, which is about 1.44", this chain would be too wide. The 3/8" #11696 "should" fit but it will be close since it measures 1.43". Both chains are very hard and secure.
