Per the Crosby Technical Department, the usage of all components is acceptable. This is assuming they have all been inspected and in good working order. With the wedge sockets, a concern would be the assurance of the wedge staying firmly in place in between picks.
They made it clear that this setup makes them uneasy and that while technically acceptable, it rides a fine line between what can and what should be done.
