In the absence of hard data for this, we wanted to run it by Crosby, a very trusted name in rigging. Here is what they said, applicable to their G-450 clips.
Crosby hasnt conducted sufficient testing, so we recommend the following is tested by the end user to confirm the connection efficiency between the rope and the clips.They can try using the 1/4" G-450 clips, minimum of two clips, torqued to 15 ft-lbs.
