Unfortunately there is no 5/16" cable close to the 24,000 lbs capacity of your winch. You may want to look at using 5/16" 6x36 XIP IWRC Cable which is stronger than regular galvanized cable, yet still nowhere near 24,000 lbs. Alternatively, you could check with the winch manufacturer about the possibility of using a synthetic rope (known as wire rope replacement). You could look at either 5/16" Ultrex or even 3/8" Ultrex. For many customers, when switching to rope, they will use one size larger because the rope spools and compacts tighter than cable.
