Is this flip line like the original 1/2" or the newer versions that appear smaller?

We're not exactly sure what you're asking. Yale has their traditional Maxi-Flip design, which this is, and it's available in 1/2" and 5/8". This model is 5/8" diameter. Yale also offers their "Sport" version, which does have a different appearance and is 1/2" only.
