Eventually, the color may start to fade. This same cable is used in theatrical rigging because it tends to stay black fairly well, but any anodized finish can start to wear over time with abrasion.
HI. I will be using this for suspending a retractable shade on a pergola. Will the black color wear off at all over time as the metal eye hooks slide back and forth when opening and closing the shade? Or is the color permanent and won't wear off?
