How does the sleeve do against hot metals? For example; an exhaust on a motorcycle.

While we do not know exactly what the temperature rating is on the exhaust pipe, if hot enough and if the sleeve is exposed long enough, we would expect the sleeve to singe or melt. When we cut this chafe sleeve, we use a hot knife to seal the ends--hopefully that frame of reference is helpful.
