This sleeve will indeed slide on the body of the rope (we tried it), but it is a rather tight fit. If the rope is spliced or has knots, or has simply swelled up due to moisture, the sleeve "might" be too tight.
Will this sleeve fit over 1/2" nylon braid dock lines, or would it be too tight to slip it on? 1-1/8" Nylon Chafe Sleeve
