You're on the right track. 6x36 is not a great choice for log skidding; the same property that makes it more flexible (more fine wires) also makes it more susceptible to abrasion. We recommend using "regular" 6x19 or 6x26 (used interchangeably) class wire rope, which can be found by clicking here. There are fewer surface wires, which means they are larger, and hold up better against abrasion.
