Yes, this should work and is designed for such a purpose.
I have a pump hoist truck that cable is bad on. I would like to cut and pull my new cable through pulleys without taking the boom apart. Would this do that? It's 5/8" steel no twist cable? Lewis 24" LSG-O Splicing Grip for 1/2" - 1" Cable - 2500 lbs WLL
