I am working on building a rope ladder. It will be outside, in the elements and the sun and heat and rain. People as heavy as 250 lbs will climb on it. I am looking for a strong, and very low stretch rope at a good price. Would this work? The weight rating seems right, I am most curious about how much it will stretch under load.

We checked with our supplier, and they had the following recommendations. 1) Go with one size bigger, 5/8". They feel the 1/2" rope will be pretty small to try and hold onto, and we tend to agree. 2) There is a 12-strand version of this rope available, and they suggest you go with that as it is a more stable construction compared to 3-strand. If you want to place an order please call us @ 503-399-7037 and we can assist you.
