We were unable to get a straight answer, but here is what the mfg said: "The 15 ton clamp is unique inthat the grip is at the flange edge, not under the flange like the other sizes.We do make conversion hooks for the 15 ton that are J style hooks with thesame working range. This would put the bearing point under the flange and inabout 2."
