Not necessarily; this type of cutter relies and brute force to make the cut. You would be better off using a two-handle cutter such as the HIT 20" or HIT 26" model. Or you could even look at the Felco brand which costs more, but is considered the best on the market. Either brand is designed to give you a nice, clean cut which makes it much easier to install fittings or thread the wire rope through a given object.
