If you pull up on the cable to set or lock in the anchor, then that puts slack in the cable, what do you use to tie down with that removes the slack? Also I dont understand the size. If Im anchoring a small trailer is this an anchor I should use?

Unfortunately we can't help you pick the right size of anchor, we can only give you the strength ratings (as published on the site) and you can choose accordingly. Essentially you drive the anchor into the ground, then pull on the cable to set the toggle deep in the soil. This should not results in much slack.
