There are a lot of variables to consider with a question like this, but generally you should expect good performance from swaged cable. Our logging customers use it every day, and they use it hard. It is smoother and resists drum abrasion and crushing better than regular cable. It is stronger and weighs more per foot, which is where the strength comes from (linear density). All in all, swaged cable is very tough. The only downside is that it's stiffer, and the reduced flexibility means that when it kinks it can be tougher to work with. Most users simply adapt to this after working with the cable for a while.
