Will wedge grip be safe for installing a swing on a wire between 2 trees? About how much can weight can wedge grip handle?

PLP Wedge-Grips are designed to achieve 100% efficiency of the cable they're used with, which typically is EHS 1x7 Strand cable. We do not recommend them for use with other types of cable. The Breaking Strength for 1/4" EHS is published @ 6650 lbs. This should be more than enough to take the load of a swing, but of course, we are not engineers and we cannot promise this product will hold, or work as intended, by simply responding to a Q&A form. If you need assistance, we recommend checking with a qualified contractor or arborist in your area that might be familiar with the installation of this product.
