Yes, in general, swaged cable was not meant to have swaged fittings attached to it. The cable is already swaged, and I would assume your 12T swager unit simply cannot provide enough force to fully swage the sleeve. The presses that we use are either 350T (small press) or 500T (large press). They have enough force to get the job done, but even then, one must use caution. Swaging sleeves onto swaged cable can result in cracked sleeves, especially if the wrong sleeve or die is used, or if the die has a deformity, etc.
