Saw a vid of cutting both sides of a Pewag 12mm in about 130 seconds with an angle grinder and another of cutting same chain in about 55 seconds with a die grinder. Being through hardened, would this chain give more resistance to a grinder?

This chain is no longer through hardened. To compare more "apples to apples" to their competition, Laclede redesigned the chain and raised the outer HRC to rival Pewag. But, a chain with such a high HRC number cannot be through hardened, it would simply be too brittle. We do not have an exact time to give you for how long it might take to cut one vs. the other, but if they have the same HRC rating and one is slightly bigger than the other, we would assume the bigger chain would take just a little longer to cut.
