Duplex eyes are also called turnback eyes by many, because you simply bend the wire back on top of itself and press the sleeve. Flemish eye splices (which are mostly what we do @ Westech) involve unbraiding the strands, and then braiding them back together to form an eye, and then pressing the sleeve (see attached photo). Overall, Flemish splices are more secure and consistent compared to Duplex splices.
