Yes, you can use it overhead as a fall protection anchor (proper installation is a MUST). But, it is not for use as an overhead lifting D-Ring, it is not a rigging product. If you need a D-Ring for overhead lifting we recommend looking at the Crosby S-265 Lifting Points.
