This product is listed as a chain cutter. How is that different from a bolt cutter? I am considering this as well as your 36" bolt cutter. How are they different? Thank you for your attention to this matter.

HIT uses the same premium material in their chain cutters as they use in their Red Head bolt cutters, but the chain cutters have a short-nose jaw design that applies pressure more specifically and directly for the purposes of cutting round link chain. They can handle a hardness rating of up to HRC 48.
