While we cannot indicate how this cable will perform for your exact application (there are many unknown variables), we can tell you that this cable meets or exceeds the strength rating of most common winches that ship with 3/8" galvanized cable. Given that, you should not have a strength issue with this cable. Most winch out there for commercial use are rated from 8,000 - 12,000 lbs and this cable is decently above that. Of course, you can always go bigger if you want even more safety factor.
