Unfortunately no, this lock is not designed to accommodate using a mid-link.
With this kit...is a person able to attach one end of chain to lock...loop the chain around a post..and then attach the open end of the lock to a link midway up the chain...in other words ..to make a locked loop? Pewag 9/32" (7mm) x 9ft Security Chain-In-A-Box Kit
