It would likely perform just fine, however it is greasy and a bit stiffer than 3/8" 7x19 GAC, which is likely what came with your winch. The closest winch line option we have on our site would be at this link. Tow truck operators largely use regular (bright) wire rope on their winches, but their application is commercial in nature, and grease is less of a concern. You could also consider a synthetic winch line.
