In short, no. This cable by itself is not rated for lifting or supporting humans. However, this same type of cable is commonly used by fall protection manufacturers in products like lanyards and anchors. The key difference is that in those cases, the cable is part of a fully engineered, tested, and certified system. While the raw cable has sufficient strength, it is not considered life-support-rated when purchased as loose, untested cable off the shelf.
