What is the minimum load requirement for this clamp? I would be using this clamp to habitually lift 3/8" thick steel plate that weighs between 375 and 400 lbs in a 36" x 98" sheet. Since it is advisable for safety and longevity of the clamp to lift as close to the max capacity as possible, if this clamp will not work, do you have another model # that will? View answer

To drive a Duckbill Anchor to the full depth of its cable, would you not need a drive rod at least a little bit longer than the cable? Which is to say, how for an 88-DB1 Anchor, which is shown as having a 3.5' cable, can one properly drive it with a DS-68 Rod, which is listed at 36" long (and is described as being used with the 88 Anchor)? Thank you. View answer

We have an enclosed trailer that was modified to haul classic cars. The rear ramp, modified with steel and 3/4 plywood, weighing about 800 lbs., is raised and lowered by a 2500 lb. winch. 5/16 cable runs over a 2" pulley suspended at the ceiling, just inside the door. After only about 20 open/close cycles, at a point EXACTLY 10 inches up from the thimble where cable attaches to the ramp, the "core" stand of the cable begins to protrude about a 1/2 inch. I tried steel, stainless, and galvanized; always happens in the same spot, same time frame! Any ideas why? I've cut 16" off the end, replace thimble and clamps, and it happens again! View answer
